Dunno if you guys did that first, or not... either way, I hadn't seen them when I did the heathen one.
Charles Manson is a pretty well known chap. I've seen a lot of tees with his face on over the last 20 years or so.
Ahhh, yeah i was talking to the dude from Faceplant and he was saying there was a surf company who ran a "charlie don't surf" campaign which is obviously what the Heathen one pay homage too! Didn't know about it - wasn't pointing it out in an aggressive or offended way, was just shocked to see it elsewhere as I've not really seen any other skate or surf companies with Charlie Manson themed attire before!
No beef.
It's 40 years since the Manson 'Family' killings and all that craziness, so I guess it's one of those zietgeist situations. The 'Charlie Don't Surf' line is from Apocalypse Now, so I just twisted it to 'skate'. Meaning that racist idiots aren't welcome in skateboarding.
